Keith G. Morrison
MBA
Associate

Keith Morrison has been involved in
tourism since 1991 and has been worked in
regeneration and destination management in such
diverse locations as Carlisle, Ashford, Thanet
(Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs), Skegness,
culminating in his role as Head of Tourism and then
Assistant Director of Economy, Tourism and Planning
for Eastbourne. A central strategy for the
regeneration has always been around the use of
events as economic drivers and in Eastbourne he had
overall control of 8 key events throughout the
tourism year including the ladies international
tennis at Devonshire Park and Eastbourne’s
international air show – Airbourne.
He was the unlucky chap who had to
take the decision with a Lawn Tennis Association
(LTA) representative to cancel the final for two and
one half hours in 2003, losing live BBC coverage to
the event and to the town. Trained by the Home
Office and Sussex Police in tactical major incident
management he was, when in local government,
available to a national pool of specialists and was
available to go anywhere in the in the UK as
required to assist in incident resolution. Despite
all of this he retains a great sense of humour and
now runs a growing marketing, PR and events business
based in Eastbourne.
He has an International MBA from
Lincoln University Management School and various
national awards for his tourism work.
