High Performing Teams involve a mixture of good leadership,
excellent communications, co-ordination and co-operation, creativity
and information gathering.
Team sailing involves working together to ensures that the yacht goes in
the right direction and stays on course.
For many of us, working in day to
day jobs, the end goal can sometimes get lost and each individual's
role within the team may not be fully apparent. By working together
in an event where pulling the wrong rope may have direct
consequences as to how the yacht performs, can highlight the
importance of teamwork in other aspects of our work and lives.
JamBerry can provide a
team sailing
experience to complement your team building journey. By combining
sailing with other training activities, we can explore the
importance of good communications, common goals and the best use of
the teams combined skills to achieve them.
JamBerry
encourage participants to use creativity to overcome barriers. By
taking them out of the workplace and putting them into new and
stimulating environments, they will have fewer preconceived ideas
about how a challenge should be tackled and be more open to change.
We have found that Outdoor Team Building events are very popular and
allow a different type of stimulation to indoor activities.
A typical day
might consist of:

Being greeted on arrival with coffee and croissants

introduction and overview to team development and leadership

A full safety briefing and yacht familiarisation

An
opportunity to sail out of Sovereign Harbour, the largest locked
harbour in Europe

If enough people, the
possibility to race in two yachts

Review
session to draw out the learning points of the day
Your team will gain a new knowledge of each other’s strengths and
skills. Our activities are designed to allow those skills to come to
the fore where perhaps they haven’t been noticed before.
JamBerry’s

14
people.
