How do we work?

At JamBerry we start by helping you to assess exactly what you need from the process. This might involve getting you to answer some questions, completing a personality profile (we use PRISM), or getting you to give us a statement. From this we will work out the best way forward to support you in your journey. We offer three types of package, 3 sessions, 6 sessions or an open-ended programme with regular reviews.

We can work with you by telephone, by Skype or face-to-face. We will also sign you up to our online learning platform, where you can get access to a number of videos, audio recordings and pdf documents which we recommend to help you in the growing and learning process.

An action plan is usually agreed, which is followed up from one session to another. Sessions can be weekly, monthly or whenever.

In what circumstances can I use coaching/mentoring?

Coaching and Mentoring can be used in a wide range of circumstances. Here are a few areas that we can provide excellent coaches/mentors for you.

1. Workplace Performance Coaching involves making changes. Are you ready to make changes in your organisation?

Workplace Performance Coaching can help both individuals and their companies by providing a combination of specialist skills training and the opportunity for individuals to discuss ideas and concepts with someone from a third party arena.

Workplace Coaching concentrates on working with individuals within specific business contexts. These might include:

  • Executive Coaching - working with senior level managers to resolve issues such as change management
  • Management issues eg interpersonal skills or team building
  • Individuals who are not performing to an acceptable standard
  • Specialist knowledge eg marketing 
  • Business needs eg strategy 
  • Individuals who are looking to change roles or for promotion

Workplace coaching can also work well as part of an ongoing training programme, where participants get the opportunity to have one-to-one sessions with the tutor to address specific issues.

Stress Coaching is about helping people who have hit a patch in their lives where they feel that they can't cope.

Stress is at its worst a killer. Linked to heart disease, high blood pressure and many other debilitating illnesses, high levels of stress are not healthy.  It can lead to a debilitating state of mind which slows down your ability to deal with everyday situations, at home and at work.

Stress not only affects individuals, it also affects companies. Stress can lead to increased absenteeism and reduced productivity. According to the HSE, stress accounts for almost a third of sickness absence costs in the UK, around £3.7bn a year. Tackling stress and making the workplace a healthy place to work should be the goal of all employers. That is not to say that all levels of stress are bad, they're not. And indeed we need some pressure in our lives to avoid boredom and apathy. But achieving a healthy level of pressure and avoiding it turning into stress can sometimes be difficult. Coaching can help. Stress Coaching works because it involves assessing the individual situation and will help to :

  • Identify approaches to dealing with it immediately

Women approach problems in a different way to men. It's true, we do think and behave differently. Women in business environments often feel at a disadvantage compared to their male colleagues. Because they are more likely to take their time making decisions and have a more parallel processing approach to problem management and solving, there is sometimes the opportunity for misunderstandings between the sexes to appear.
